Rajarajeswari dental college and hospital is a well established esteemed hospital situated in Bangalore, India. Established in the year 1992 with just 40 admissions in BDS course, the college is now grown to a megalith with full- fledged Postgraduate Dental Institution with MDS courses in all specialties of Dental Surgery.

It is a private dental college administered by Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust (Regd.).  It was established in the year 1992 and located at Ramohalli Cross, Kumbalgodu, Mysore Road, Bangalore, India.

The college functions with a vision to accomplish high quality dental education curriculum at undergraduate, post graduate and post doctoral level. The college also has a dream to elevate in the field of research. The college has several publications and patent to its credit. The college also dreams to provide a comprehensive and specialized oral health care to people of all socioeconomic cultural groups and to be an initiator in being a voice to the public and society to inform about the prevention and treatment of oral diseases.

The college works with a single point mission and objective to be a recognised  college par excellence both in the national and international level by providing innovative educational programme, elevating research and inventions , enhance and uplift the skills of a graduate and provide the highest degree of oral health service to every patient in the hospital.

The college is attached to Rajrajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore. The college is affiliated to prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences, Bangalore and recognised by the Dental Council of India. It is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment Accreditation Council) and NABH. It is also recognised by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK for part 1 & 2 MFDS Examinations.

The college occupies a massive 5 acre lush-green campus on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway. The building has a 2 lakh Sq. feet of modern building which houses the Dental Institute, their respective 09 speciality dental clinics, the supporting labs and class rooms and residential accommodation along with food and gym facilities and a fully furnished and functional canteen for staff and students.

The hospital has around 426 modern dental units/chair with around 500 patients being treated in the clinics daily. Rajarajeswari Medical College and Hospital is a 1000 bedded Medical College Hospital, recognized for undergraduate and postgraduate training by Medical Council of India. Every dental department is equipped with highly skilled and efficient faculties who are an expert in their field. The departments are also equipped with all state-of-the-art equipments and facilities which will help to make the students get up-to-date information about all the new techniques and instruments available in that speciality.

                FACILITIES

   Hostel

The Rajarajeswari Dental College has in-campus accommodation for outstation students in the form of separate Girls and boys hostels. The hostels offer hygienic and nutritious food in the mess and the hostels are under full time surveillance of well-trained wardens who are responsible for maintaining and monitoring them. Each hostel is provided with leisure rooms having T.V for students to enjoy their favourite programs.

 Library

The library has a vast collections of books and journals. There are around 6000 books and around a 100  national and international journals with back volumes . The college also has E-journal access for the benefit of the students. The library has been organised into separate reader services - namely, the main lending section, the text books section, the general reference section and a periodicals and journals section. This is for the assistance and easy access for the students.

 Sports

Institute has well equipped sports facilities for the students. The college also has gym facility for both boys and girls. Outdoor games such as Cricket, football, shuttle, volleyball and throw ball can be played in the playground situated inside the campus.

 Cafeteria

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. They provide good nutritious food and tast food. They serve both vegetarian and non- vegetarian food.

   Auditorium

Auditorium facility is well-resourced for events and seminars. The college has a large indoor auditorium with excellent acoustics. The presentation halls are made futuristic with LCD projectors for the assistance of students and make them adept to the latest cutting edge technologies. The seating capacity of around 500. The college also has access to ACS convention centre which has a seating capacity of around 4000 for magnanimous events like convocation or inter college events.

  Laboratory facility

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. The College has a provision of labs that include pre clinical prosthetics & Conservative labs for preclinical training of undergraduates. The Pre-clinical Conservative Dentistry lab is equipped with state of the art patient simulation systems to train the students in a virtual clinical environment. Laboratory facility is available for fabrication of prosthodontic & orthodontic appliances. For histopathology pertaining to dentistry the department of Oral Pathology also has lab facility.
