This is a reputed dental college in Jammu. It is located in the city of temples “Jammu”. It was established in the year 2004-05 in the Rehari Chungi, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. It is a government hospital. It is run by the state government/UT administration authority. The college is attached to Indira Gandhi Govt. College & Hospital. It is one of the popular dental colleges in Jammu and Kashmir. It is affiliated to university of Jammu and recognised by the Dental Council of India. This college is a NAAC “A” accredited college. According to NIRF ranking of 2019, the college is in 74th category “I” university by MHRD.
The college is spread across a magnanimous area of total 468270 sq ft. Area. The main mission of the college is to achieve academic excellence and to provide best oral health care to the diverse population of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The college also encourages research and innovation in the field of dentistry. Excellent faculty, modern technologies, newer teaching techniques and grand infrastructure helps providing students with education par excellence and providing patients with excellent oral healthcare. The college also holds annual dental camps to provide good oral health care to the rural population. There are a total of 47 teaching faculty in the college.

The college has good clinical facility of about 211 dental chairs to cater to the necessity of the patients. The college also recognizes meritorious students and helps them in acquiring scholarships.

The college has hostel facility for both girls and boys which provide good hostel accommodation for the students. There is separate sick room and guest room in both boys and girls hostel. There are good well ventilated and spacious rooms for the students. there is 24X7 WI-FI facility without internet interruption. IT infrastructure is well-appointed for the overall development of the students. Computer Section has been involved in taking various IT initiatives in the Institute since its inception. With the overall growth of the Institute, the workload of the section has increased manifolds since then. Lecture rooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with ICT facility such as Computer with internet, LCD projector and audio aids. IntelliSpace software is installed in computers of smart classrooms and smart boards are mounted for an advanced teaching and learning purpose.

The institute is a completely WI-FI enabled campus. The students and faculty of the organisation have a direct access to the 50 MBPS Internet Leased Line from Vodafone Idea through a WiFi, wireless network & through intercom telephone lines.
