Uttarakhand, formerly known as Uttaranchal is fondly referred to as the "Devbhumi" (literally "Land of the Gods"). Seema Dental College & Hospital, Rishikesh is one of the reputed dental colleges in uttarakhand, India. It is a private dental college administered by the Dr. B.S.Gupta Medical Charitable Society. Dr. R. K. Gupta is the founder of the college. It was established in the year 2003-04 at Virbhadra Road, PO-Pashulok, Rishikesh. The college was formed with the vision of Global leadership in human development, excellence in education and healthcare and develop integrity, highest Quality of work, Transparency, Team Work and precision in execution with Passion. SDCH allows you to cherish an excellent academic environment in a serene picturesque location. The college works with an aim of imparting good dental hygiene to the rural population, cheap affordable and easily accessible dental treatment to all.

The college is attached to AIIMS, Rishikesh. The college is affiliated to prestigious Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Pauri Garhwal and recognised by the Dental Council of India.

The college is spread across a sprawling area of 164629 sq ft with a total student enrolment of around 400 students. It is a premier dental institution with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced faculty and doctors delivering quality education and best oral health care for the entire population of Dehradun. The hospital has a well experienced set of faculty to provide excellent academic and clinical excellence.

The college has good clinical facility of about 287 dental chairs to cater to the needs of the patients. The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. There is 84 seat capacity for boys and 344 capacity of accommodation for girls. The institute has good department based laboratory facility with all state-of-the-art equipments for the benefit of the Students College has a good set up of library for the benefit of the students.

Accepted exam: NEET exam.

FACILITIES

  Hostel

Separate hostels for boys and girls are thoroughly modern and air conditioned, offering single and twin sharing accommodation. There is 84 seat capacity for boys and 344 capacity of accommodation for girls. There are attached toilets with 24 hour supply of hot and cold water.

  Library

The library fulfils the entire standard laid down by the Dental Council of India. The library has been organised into separate reader services - namely, the main lending section, the text books section, the general reference section and a periodicals and journals section. This is for the assistance and easy access for the students.  photostat machine room, a reading room with audio visual facilities are also made available for the advantage  of students. The library also offers the use of Computers along with Internet services.

    WI-FI campus

The institute is a completely WI-FI enabled campus. 5,000 lines Siemens Telephone Exchange with ISDN & Broadband facilities given by Telecom Department, BSNL is the highlight of the College. The entire campus has been wired to be capable of being digitally controlled from the Computer Command Centre. The digital backbone takes care of distribution of Internet access and the distribution & allocation of background music at various public areas across the hospital.

 Sports

Institute has well equipped sports facilities for the students. An Olympic standard indoor swimming pool is provided as recreational facility. A modern gymnasium and health club with latest health equipment and facilities for indoor & outdoor games is available for students. College offers various sports and extracurricular activities to the students.  Sporting activities like court games &    swimming are particularly encouraged in keeping with the College policy of all-round student development.

   Cafeteria

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The menu planning at the mess takes particular care of nutritive value of the food being served under the guidance of a dietician. There is a cafeteria and tuck shop retailing ready to eat, hygienic and nutritious food.

  IT Infrastructure

IT infrastructure is well-appointed for the overall development of the students. Punjab National Bank ATM facility is available at college doorstep for the ease of students. Provision for computer and Internet facility is provided in hostel rooms besides teaching places so that the students can explore the subjects with latest updates.

  Auditorium

Auditorium facility is well-resourced for events and seminars. The presentation halls are made futuristic with LCD projectors for the assistance of students and make them adept to the latest cutting edge technologies. The Prosthetic Lab is equipped with complete porcelain and cast partial denture equipment, centrifugal casting machines, model trimmers, articulators, lathes, acrylizers with allied accessories. The Classrooms are air-conditioned to ensure comfortable and clean atmosphere, and in turn facilitate the learning experience. In addition to this, all the lecture halls are fitted with state-of-the-art audio facilities like hi-fidelity sound systems for effective delivery of lectures.

   MEDICAL

A dispensary with a qualified doctor on call 24 hours a day is available. Besides attending to the medical needs of the students, staff and others in the campus, the doctor also carries out routine medical check-up of the students every month.
