Mithila region of Bihar particularly Darbhanga has been a centre of learning since ancient times. Mithila minority dental college & hospital, darbhanga is one of the reputed private dental colleges in Bihar state of India.  It is a private dental college administered by a society. It was established in the year 1989-90 at Laheriasarai, Dist: Darbhanga. The college is attached to Darbhanga Medical College & Hospital which is a Govt. General Hospital. The college was affiliated to L.N.Mithila University, Darbhanga (Bihar) and recognised by the Dental Council of India.

The college is spread across a sprawling area of 228810 sq ft area with the objective of serving the weaker section of the population and the rural population.

It is a premier dental institution with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced faculty and doctors. While providing equipments consideration for latest technology & human innovation is being kept in view so that the students are exposed to the facilities available in the country.  The college works with mission of serving the masses with special emphasis on working for the downtrodden and weaker sections and to minimize the expenses for technical education among minorities especially in Dental science.

The college has good clinical facility of about 190 dental chairs to cater to the needs of the patients. The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has a very good hostel facility of 100 accommodations for boys and 150 accommodations for girls. The college is completely WI-FI enabled for the benefit of the students. The laboratory of the college is well equipped with the most sophisticated and modern equipments. Its rich library is for the benefit of the students.

                 FACILITIES

  Hostel

The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has a very good hostel facility of 100 accommodations for boys and 150 accommodations for girls. The hostel is completely WI-FI enabled for the benefit of the students. There are guest houses available for parents within the campus. The hostels are looked after through a four-tier system consisting of resident warden, Administrative officer and Hostel Advisory Committee. The qualified dietician supervises the purchase of commodities, preparation & serving of food and over all hygiene in the kitchen. Its an anti-ragging campus and anyone caught indulging in ragging can be punished by either suspension, cancellation of seat, rustication or expulsion from the college depending on the gravity of the situation.

   Library

The College library maintains a rich collection of books, newspapers, magazines and periodicals. The library provides facilities of a reading room for students. Textbooks and reference books are issued to students for home reading for 7 days. The college has a digital library for the benefit of students. the college also has a wide array of national and international journals for the benefit of faculty  and post graduate students.

   Sports

Institute has well equipped sports facilities for the students. The college encourages students to actively participate in sport activities. There are both outdoor ground and indoor arena for sports. Indoor facilities for Table Tennis, Carrom Boards, Chessboards, Badminton Court and Lawn Tennis games are available and outdoor facilities are available in the form of Cricket playground, Football playground, Volleyball Ground, Basket Ball Court and Kabaddi Ground.

A sprawling state of the art health club over six acers of land is available in the campus. The health club includes jogging track, gymnasium and juice centres

The college has a separate canteen/recreation block. Canteen facilities are good with healthy and clean food and ambience. The college has separate juice centres for the benefit of the students.

  Laboratory facility

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students. The College has a provision of labs that include pre clinical prosthetics & Conservative labs for preclinical training of undergraduates. Laboratory facility is available for fabrication of prosthodontic & orthodontic appliances. For histopathology pertaining to dentistry the department of Oral Pathology also has lab facility.
