This is one of the reputed private dental colleges in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. It was established in the year 2007-08 in the Kiit campus-5, Patia area of Bhubaneswar. It is a private hospital. The college is attached to Pradyumna Bal Memorial Hospital. KIDS was affiliated to Utkal University for 2 years (2007 & 2008) before becoming a part of KIIT Deemed to be University in the year 2009. It is affiliated to KIIT, Bhubaneswar University, and recognised by the Dental Council of India.

The college is spread across a huge area of total 110000 sq ft. Area. KIDS is a premier dental institution with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced faculty and doctors delivering quality education and best oral health care for the entire population of Odisha. The hospital has modern equipments and technology for sophisticated treatment of patient, an integrated team of doctors and trained hospital staffs who are dedicated to providing the highest standard of patient care and dedicated faculty to provide highest possible education to the students for achieving academic excellence.

The college works with a vision of creating a superior educational experience for the students and providing a caring humane dental service for our patients and their families. This will help in providing an outstanding dental service to all with the utmost respect.  The main mission of the college is to impart value based quality education of international standard and imbibing skill for solving real life problems and to develop leadership qualities in every student.

The college has good clinical facility of about 292 dental chairs to cater to the necessity of the patients. The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has a hostel facility of 550 accommodations for boys and 550 accommodations for girls. The institute has good department based laboratory facility with all state-of-the-art equipments for the benefit of the students. Its rich library is equipped with internet facilities for the use of its students and faculty. The central library has a big collection of books/cds and journals for the benefit of the students.

Accepted exam: NEET exam.

          FACILITIES

   Hostel

The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has a hostel facility of 550 accommodations for boys and 550 accommodations for girls. Both the boy and girl hostel has a big dining hall with attached kitchen which can cater more than 100 students at a time.

Library

Fully equipped library for the benefit of the students. Its rich library is equipped with internet facilities for the use of its students and faculty. The college has a library facility for all students. The institute has around 15233 books and around 56 journals (Journals- National: 10 titles, International: 46 titles with back volumes of 27 titles). The college also has CD/DVD copies of several books. There are around 256 soft copies.

   Sports

Institute has well equipped sports facilities for the students. The college encourages students to actively participate in sport activities. Sports activity in KIIT is facilitated by KIIT Stadium, Central Indoor Stadium and 10 sports complex distributed in different campuses. It is the hub of indoor sports activities of the university accessible to all the students and staffs. It is one of the biggest in-campus indoor stadiums of the country. The KIMS in campus ground close to the dental and medical hostels provide ample space for cricket and football.

  Cafeteria

The college has a separate canteen/recreation block. Canteen facilities are good with healthy and clean food and ambience. They provide both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. It also has 15 Food Courts serving delicious multi-cuisine food.

    Auditorium

Auditorium facility is well-resourced for events and seminars. It is  fully air-conditioned and is tiered with row upon row of seats for around 300 people. It has state-of-the-art infrastructure, a big stage, LCD Projector, power back-up, superior acoustics, and latest technology for sound effects, required to conduct institutional and departmental programs such as CDE, Seminars, Workshop, and Conferences.

WI-FI campus

The institute is a completely WI-FI enabled campus. High-Speed Internet Service (1180Mbps) is provided to KIDS by NKN, Bharti Airtel and BSNL through dedicated optical fiber cable. All the major students’ areas, including the hostel rooms and libraries, are provided Wi-Fi access through a secure wireless network.

   MEDICAL

The college has good medical facility with first aid service within the campus.  They have a medical facility within the same campus which is provided by a 1650 bed super specialty hospital attached to the Medical College Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS),
