Chhattisgarh which means “thirty six forts” is a state located in the region of Central India. This state was formed by the partition of ten Chhattisgarhi and six Gondi-speaking districts in the southeast of Madhya Pradesh. Raipur is the capital city of the state of Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is a heavily forested state in Central India known for its temples and waterfalls. Chhattisgarh is one of the fastest-developing states in India. The State of Chhattisgarh is known as the rice bowl of India and has a rich tradition of food culture.

The college is situated in the Rungta Knowledge City in state of Chhattisgarh. It was established in the year 2005-06 in Rungta Knowledge City, Kohka - Kurud Road, Chhattisgarh. It is a private dental college. Rungta College of Dental Sciences & Research, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh is managed by GD Rungta Educational Society. Shri Rai Saheb Richhpalji Rungta, the scion of the family and Shri Ghanshyam Dasji Rungta were the entrepreneurs of the family who in all sincerity started the service of providing education to the people of Durg and Bhilai and the adjoining areas. The society has a varied scope of education ranging from schooling, engineering, hotel management to dentistry pharmacy and others. The main vision and mission is to develop leaders in all Professions to Serve Community for Improving Quality of Life and develop students with high moral, ethical and professional values in order to make these students capable of accepting the challenges of the profession.

The college is attached to Lal Bahadur Shastry Govt. Civil Hospital, Supela which is a government general hospital. The dental campus houses separate structures for Dental Hospital and Dental College with excellent infrastructure. The college focuses on the all round development of students and encourages achievements in sports and extra- curricular activities. It is affiliated to College of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh, Raipur and recognised by the Dental Council of India. It is a full-fledged Dental College with an ultramodern Training Hospital. The use of latest computerized technology, maintains records of all the patients and these records are updated on every visit making it the best Dental College in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.

The college is spread across a magnanimous area of total of 54 acres of campus to cater to the vast needs of students.  The college has highly dedicated and highly professional faculty members towards their profession. The college has good clinical facility of about 318 dental chairs to cater to the necessity of the patients. The college has a committed faculty, well-organized administration, supports all round professional development and encourages community service.

The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has a hostel facility of 125 accommodations for boys and 300 accommodations for girls. The colleges has a vast central library with over 25,000 reference books and subscribes to nationally and internationally reputed journals, course books, periodicals and an exclusive collection of industry reports, case studies and industry information database for research. Around 300 students can use the library at the same time. Rungta College has an exclusive Digital Library Section with sizeable number of classified textbooks and reference materials in CD format.

                  FACILITIES

  Hostel

The college has hostel facility for both girls and boys which provide good hostel accommodation for the students. The institute has a hostel facility of 125 accommodations for boys and 300 accommodations for girls. There are separate hostels for girls and boys with a capacity of class in girls’ hostel and class for boys’ hostel. Three students are accommodated in each room in the hostel that is air cooled and is provided with a study table and computer with internet connectivity. A full time Matron/Warden is also available to look after the welfare and needs of students. The campus is self sustained with a tuck shop, a beauty parlour for girls, ATM centre, communication centre, and generator room for uninterrupted power supply. There is a residential block for NRI students that will have all the modern amenities to suit their needs and additional facilities like air-conditioners and telephones will also be provided at additional costs.

 Library

They have an exclusively designed state-of-the-art Central Library that stocks over 25,000 reference books and subscribes to nationally and internationally reputed journals, course books, periodicals and an exclusive collection of industry reports, case studies and industry information database for research.

Rungta College has an exclusive Digital Library Section with sizeable number of classified textbooks and reference materials in CD format. For the convenience of the students, an Internet corner has been allocated with a Photo Copier, Scanner, and Laser and Inkjet Printers. A separate study area has been allocated for the use of Post-graduates and the Faculty. No effort is spared to equip the students with all the information they would need for their career growth. Facilities such as audio-visual room, computer lab with internet facility, photocopying, colour scanners and laser printers are provided. The Library is kept open till late night for the benefit of the residential students.

   Sports

Institute has well equipped sports facilities for the students. The college has separate infrastructure for Cricket, Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball and Tennis. Students hone their skills under the watchful eyes of dedicated and qualified training faculty. To promote competitive spirit and sportsmanship, regular competitions among the students of different departments are encouraged by the university. The college has won many competitions at the university level, state and national level events and made the institution proud.

 Cafeteria

The central cafeteria at Rungta College offers faculty and students a place not only to relax but also to enjoy their food in a cozy atmosphere while sharing their ideas. The canteen serves a wide variety of snacks as well as North Indian and South Indian dishes prepared in hygienic conditions. Here diverse food habits and taste preferences come together at the dining table. Rungta has kept suggestion boxes at different locations in the campus for the students to give their suggestions or voice their grievances.

  Auditorium

There is a centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of more than 300 for the benefit of the students. They use the latest multimedia system with large digital screens to display the visually based demonstrations and graphics oriented lessons. They also  organize online lectures and conferences with eminent professors and stalwarts across the globe in various fields of Information Technology, Electrical, Electronics etc for the overall development of the students.

  WI-FI campus

The institute is a completely WI-FI enabled campus. All the lectures are recorded on a local e-learning server and any student at any point can retrieve the lecture presentation as well as video recording from wherever they are. The entire material of the lecture including explanations is transferred to the students' Laptop at the end of every class, thus ensuring that students do not miss any class only in Rungta group of colleges. The local e-learning server is a storehouse and a vast resource of notes and study material on each topic that the students may download as and when required. In addition to the internet resources the study material is readily available on student's laptop all the time.
