Chhattisgarh which means “thirty six forts” is a state located in the region of Central India. This state was formed by the partition of ten Chhattisgarhi and six Gondi-speaking districts in the southeast of Madhya Pradesh. Raipur is the capital city of the state of Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is a heavily forested state in Central India known for its temples and waterfalls. Chhattisgarh is one of the fastest-developing states in India. The State of Chhattisgarh is known as the rice bowl of India and has a rich tradition of food culture.

The college is situated in the Rajnandgaon in state of Chhattisgarh. It was established in the year 2001-02 in the in Sundra, rajnandgaon, chhattisgarh. It is a private dental college. Chhattisgarh Dental College and Research Institute (CDCRI), Chhattisgarh is a leading venture of the Youth Foundation of India, Rajnandgaon. The college is attached Govt. Medical College, Rajnandgaon. This first Dental College of Chhattisgarh was established by Minority Community in the year 2001 and the first batch for the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery was admitted for the session 2002-03.  It is affiliated to College of Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh, Raipur and recognised by the Dental Council of India. The college offers 8 courses across 2 streams namely Medical and Dental sciences.

The college is spread across a magnanimous area of total 229996 sq ft. Area.  The college is spread across a sprawling area of 15 acres and has been rated as the best dental hospital in Chhattisgarh with dedicated and highly professional faculty members towards their profession. It is a triple storied building consists of all the non clinical departments and lecture halls. The college has excellent teaching facilities and also provides tremendous support for research and innovation. The college also has exceptional infrastructure with cutting edge technologies and also has several national and international collaborations for the overall development of the skill and knowledge of the students. The college also provides job opportunities in public and private sector and also trains and encourages students for entrepreneurship. It is the first full-fledged, Ultra Modern Dental Hospital. It also has its own dental labs equipped with latest ceramic furnace and induction casting machine. Facilities like testing of blood, urine, sugar etc. are also available.

The college has good clinical facility of about 279 dental chairs to cater to the necessity of the patients. The college rests on a strong and committed faculty, efficient administration, professional development, scholarships, research, and community service. The institute recognizes meritorious students and helps them in acquiring scholarships.

The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has a hostel facility of 186 accommodations for boys and 330 accommodations for girls. The institute has good department based laboratory facility with all state-of-the-art equipments for the benefit of the students. Its rich library is equipped with internet facilities for the use of its students and faculty. The central library has a big collection of books/cds and journals both national and international, the procurement of which is done by the library committee, which takes care of the demands of every department. It also subscribes to several national and international journals. The Library has also interconnectivity with leading libraries like British Council library and other Medical Institutions.

               FACILITIES

 Hostel

The college has hostel facility for both girls and boys which provide good hostel accommodation for the students. The institute has a hostel facility of 186 accommodations for boys and 330 accommodations for girls. The girl’s hostel is four storied building accommodating about 140 girl students. The accommodation is well furnished with bed, mattress, wardrobe, table and chair etc. Both the boy and girl hostel has a big dining hall with attached kitchen which can cater more than 100 students at a time. The institute is running a pure vegetarian mess & canteen in its premises. A new specious mess building equipped with ultra modern kitchen is newly constructed with separate dinning halls for girls, boys and staff.

 Library

The library has area of 7000 sq.ft including separate reading room and has over 3500 books covering all subjects in dentistry as well as medical subjects. There are about 25 internationally acclaimed dental journals and 18 national journals. The library resources include good collection of prescribed textbooks, reference works like handbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedia, audio & videocassettes, 71 CD’s related to various dental problems and its treatment. The library extends its facilities through separate reading section and also covers photocopying facility so that the students to increase their knowledge in a spacious set-up.

Sports

Institute has well equipped sports facilities for the students. The college encourages students to actively participate in sport activities.

  Cafeteria

The college has a separate canteen/recreation block. Canteen facilities are good with healthy and clean food and ambience. The institute is running a pure vegetarian mess & canteen in its premises. . A canteen is also available in the premises and serves all kinds of fast and packed food and snack.
