Uttarakhand, formerly known as Uttaranchal is fondly referred to as the "Devbhumi" (literally "Land of the Gods"). This is due to the numerous hindu temples  and pilgrimage centres found throughout the state. It is a state in the northern part of india. Dehradun is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of uttarakhand.  The city is noted for its picturesque landscape and slightly milder climate and provides a gateway to the surrounding region.

Uttaranchal Dental College & Medical Research Institute, Dehradun is one of the reputed dental colleges in uttarakhand, India. It is a private dental college administered by the public charitable society, Gangotri Human Resources and Development Society Allahabad (U.P.). It was established in the year 2006-07 at Mazri Grant, Haridwar Road, Dehradun. The college was formed with the main aim of rendering social and public services to the poor, needy and downtrodden population of the Society.

The college is attached to its own Uttaranchal hospital. The college is affiliated to prestigious Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Pauri Garhwal and recognised by the Dental Council of India.

The college is spread across a sprawling area of 360886.8 sq ft with a total student enrolment of around 441 students. It is a premier dental institution with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced faculty and doctors delivering quality education and best oral health care for the entire population of Dehradun. The hospital has a well experienced set of faculty to provide excellent academic and clinical excellence.

The college has good clinical facility of about 234 dental chairs to cater to the needs of the patients. The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. There is 96 seat capacity for boys and 322 capacity of accommodation for girls. The institute has good department based laboratory facility with all state-of-the-art equipments for the benefit of the Students College has a good set up of library for the benefit of the students.

Accepted exam: NEET exam.

              FACILITIES

 Hostel

Campus has separate twin-occupancy hostel facilities for boys and girls. Recreational facilities are also provided to the inmates. Each Hostel has a warden who is usually a faculty member to supervise and to address any grievances of the students. There is 96 seat capacity for boys and 322 capacity of accommodation for girls.

 Library

A library with a seating capacity of 150 and put together are spread over 400 sq. mts. This library has more than 2500 volumes of national and international acclaimed books and subscribes to over 100 journals and magazines of national and international publications. The library ensures provision of all support activities like audio visual room and book bank. The library is fully computerized using integrated software.

 Sports

Institute has well equipped sports facilities for the students. There is a Volley ball court in the college premises and we also have a fully equipped gymnasium. For the enthusiastic sport lovers of our college, we conduct an annual sports week in our college which involves both track and field events along with indoor games.

Cafeteria

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

   IT Infrastructure

IT infrastructure is well-appointed for the overall development of the students.

Auditorium

Auditorium facility is well-resourced for events and seminars. The Prosthetic Lab is equipped with complete porcelain and cast partial denture equipment, centrifugal casting machines, model trimmers, articulators, lathes, acrylizers with allied accessories.

  MEDICAL

A dispensary with a qualified doctor on call 24 hours a day is available. Besides attending to the medical needs of the students, staff and others in the campus, the doctor also carries out routine medical check-up of the students every month.
