It is a government dental college administered by An Autonomous Body Promoted by Central/State Govt. It was established in the year 1983-84 at Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, New Delhi. The college is attached to Maulana Azad Medical College. The college was affiliated to University of Delhi, and recognised by the Dental Council of India.

The college is spread across a sprawling area of 90635.68 sq ft with a total student intake of around 228 students.
