Ambedkar Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, Patna is one of the reputed private dental colleges in Bihar state of India.  Patna is the capital and largest city of the state of Bihar in India. It was established in the year 1990-91 located at New Bailey Road, Bihar. It was started on the very auspicious day of birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Late Baba-Saheb Ambedkar. It is a private dental college administered by a society. The Institute is being managed by Gautam Educational & Welfare Society, a Buddhist Minority Society.

The college is attached to its own private hospital. The college was affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya (Bihar) and recognised by the Dental Council of India.

The college is spread across a sprawling area with the objective of serving the weaker section of the population and the rural population.

It is a premier dental institution with the state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced faculty and doctors. The college works with mission of serving the masses with special emphasis on working and weaker sections and to provide oral healthcare to all of the population.

The college has good clinical facility to cater to the needs of the patients. The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has a very good hostel facility for both boys and girls and laboratory of the college is well equipped with the most sophisticated and modern equipments. It has a good library is for the benefit of the students.

The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The  hostels are having separate establishment including mess facilities, entertainment and indoor game facilities. Hostels are guarded with round ‘O’ Clock security arrangement. Students can also avail the facility of AC Room on demand.

The College library maintains a rich collection of books, newspapers, magazines and periodicals. The library provides facilities of a reading room for students. The institute has been provided with good library with sufficient number of books, latest journals & up-to-date periodicals.  Internet (Broadband) facility is also available in the library with sufficient numbers of computer.

Laboratory facility is available for fabrication of prosthodontic & orthodontic appliances. For histopathology pertaining to dentistry the department of Oral Pathology also has lab facility.
