Regional Dental College, Guwahati
It is the first dental college in the north-east India. It is a private dental college in Assam. It is situated at Bhangagarh, Guwahati. It was established in the year 1982 by NEC. The college is attached to Guwahati Medical College & Hospital. The college is affiliated by the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati which is the only Health Sciences University in the North Eastern Region with its jurisdiction to the whole of Assam and recognized by Dental Council of India.
The college has good clinical facility to cater to the needs of the patients. The college has good hostel accommodation and food facilities for both the boys and girls. The institute has good department based laboratory facility with all state-of-the-art equipments for the benefit of the students. The college has a fully equipped library facility and first aid facility for the students within the campus.

The institution offers a full-time undergraduate course (BDS) which is 4 Years course + 1 Year Internship i.e. a duration of 5 years and a full-time post graduate course(MDS) with a duration of 3 years. There is an intake of 50 undergraduate students per year and 10 post graduate seats per year. The 10 post graduate seats include Periodontics (2 seat), Operative Conservative Dentistry (2 seat), Prosthodontics (2 seat), Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (2 seat) and Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics - 2 seat.
